CE-504 :  Microcontrollers & Interfacing

v     Microcontrollers and Applications :--

Architecture of 8/16 bit microcontrollers, Assembly language programming and hardware interfacing techniques. Introduction to development tools like cross assembler, simulator, HLL cross compilers and in circuit emulators for system development. Introduction to advanced embedded controllers with built in multi channel ADC, PWM, watchdog timers and applications. Design considerations for single chip solutions and handheld instruments, Case studies.

 v     Microelectronic Devices and Applications :--

Properties of semiconductors - Behaviour of charged particles in conducting, insulating and semiconductor materials - thin film phenomena - Transport properties of thin films - Epitaxial growth - Microelectronics - Lithography and etch techniques - Microelectronic devices for Magnetic, dielectric, conductive and optical memory applications.
