PAPER - VI CONSUMER EDUCATION AND HOUSING SITUATION

Objectives :

    (1) To create an awareness among the students about consumer education.
    (2) To develop understanding regarding procedure of brand packaging and labeling.
    (3) To enable students to learn protecting consumer interest.
    (4) To help student to learn simple adulteration detection techniques.

  1. Simple terms and their definitions used in consumer education i.e. consumer, consumption, utility market
    conspicuous consumption, demand, supply buyers, market, consumer's market piece.

  2. Importance of consumer education.

  3. Consumer's rights and responsibilities.

  4. Buying and choice making problems faced by the consumers in present days market.

  5. Factors affecting buying decisions.

  4. Simple adulteration detection techniques for powdered masala & common foods such as tea, turmeric, salt, coriander, power, chillily power fast & oil instant foods.

    3. Buying of goods from various market channels and its effect on consumption.

PAPER - VII ADVANCE COMMUNITY NUTRITION

Objectives :

    (1) To provide knowledge about community its nutritional need & problems related to the nutrition.
    (2) To impart the knowledge about nutrition education and its important for the community.
    (3) To aware the student about hormonal system its function its disorder etc.
    (4) To provide the knowledge to the students about clinical and biochemical test regarding various nutritional
          problems.
    (5) To provide the knowledge to the student about blood and urine analysis practically.
    (6) Awareness of general chemistry of food & nutrition and their importance.
    (7) Nutrition awareness in community.
